Having been in the real estate business on the Monterey Peninsula for nearly 15 years, Peter has become recognized and respected by the community and colleagues as a very knowledgeable and well respected leader in the industry. He is consistently ranked among the top producing realtors in the Monterey County having participated in over 250 transactions totaling over $400,000,000. Peter has developed a special emphasis on the unique and exclusive Pebble Beach marketplace while also representing numerous clients in Carmel, Carmel Valley and throughout the Monterey Peninsula.
Peter comes from a family rich in tradition and is now one of three generations fortunate enough to call Pebble Beach home. Previous to real estate, Peter worked in the insurance industry beginning as an underwriter with Transamerica Insurance Company and later as a part of his family’s insurance business that dates back to 1887 and is now one of the largest in the country. He finished his insurance career as an Executive Vice President at the largest brokerage office in Chicago, representing numerous Fortune 500 companies, celebrities, and high net worth individuals by helping to create customized property, casualty, and luxury residential insurance programs. Peter built his business and sold it to a friendly competitor providing him the opportunity to follow his dream of moving to Pebble Beach and selling real estate.
Peter’s network and commitment to the community is far reaching whether it is on the golf course or at fund raising events. He has been a Co-Chair for the local Hospice Foundation Golf Tournament raising over $1.6 million, and is a co-chair of an invitational golf tournament benefiting the First Tee of Monterey County. As an avid golfer since childhood, Peter has played in many local tournaments such as The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am and the Pebble Beach Calloway Invitational.
With two children at Santa Catalina school, Peter co-chairs the annual golf fundraiser and sits on The Parent Advisory Board at the school. Along with his wife and children, Peter is a member of The Beach and Tennis Club and The Monterey Peninsula Country Club (MPCC) both in Pebble Beach. At MPCC, Peter has been involved in various committees ranging from membership to golf activities and has co-chaired numerous tournaments. He was also an active member of the Long Range Planning Committee and Facilities Master Plan Committee which played an integral role in the $12+ million building project for the new Golf House and Club House renovation at MPCC which was completed in 2006.
As one of the owners/realtors of Carmel Realty Company, Peter is in the unique position to offer his clients the highest level of service while also helping to manage and direct this sophisticated boutique real estate firm.
